The units in this sale are being sold as "Vendor Return Refurbished" condition. Basically, that means that we sold them, they were returned to us, we sent them back to the vendor and they refurbished them and returned them to us. They should be the same as all factory refurbished items that we normally sell, but we have reduced the sale price and the warranty due to the whole "vendor return" thing.  

With CST technology this speaker offers the ability to precisely control the sound directivity at all frequency levels. CST is essentially a three-dimensional-aligned sound source for the low-frequency and high-frequency drivers, capable of reproducing a full-range of frequencies and lifelike imaging

• It has the ability to direct the high frequencies toward your listening position by incorporating a unique pivoting (aluminum-dome) tweeter. For optimal performance, the loudspeakers should be placed an equal distance from your listening position and separated so that the angle between them, at the listening position, is between 40 and 60 degrees
• The output of the tweeter can be adjusted to compensate for speaker placement/listening positions that are less than ideal. The “0” position is designed to provide the smoothest frequency response on axis. If the high frequency response is considered to be too strong or too weak, the tweeter level can be increased (”+”) or decreased (“-“) to suit your listening preference
• The low-frequency output can be adjusted to compensate for the loss of bass within the ceiling structure. This switch offers two positions to suit your listening preference; the “0” position is set for standard low-frequency output, and the “-” position is set for decreased bass output
• With its space-saving design of only 4-1/2” mounting depth, this speaker offers you maximum flexibility of being able to install it anywhere
• With a frequency response of 32Hz – 40KHz, this speaker reproduces a full sound range from deep bass tones to ultra-high frequencies
• Locate your speaker location, cut the drywall (1/2” – 1” rock), connect the speaker wires and mount the loudspeaker; it’s that simple. This speaker includes a cutting template and integrated dog-ear brackets for retrofit applications
• Both the frame and grille can be painted to blend into the existing environment
