Well, how about "O m g, you live in last post!" a statement that defines "living" as having a presence in a specific area of the internet. As far as the people at rockclimbing.com are concerned, I might as well be dead, since my account is completely inactive that online "personality" died.

Haha, I actually don't advocate that at all, I always kept both hands on the rope as much as possible.

As an additional note, I used to climb outside on week long trips and whatnot, so gear trading/people to meet up with at the crag/sharing strategies and safety tips were all beneficial things that an online forum can help with.

Oh and bonus fact: Don't speed in a flood zone, apparently the county north of us is trying to fund road repairs by upping the ticket quotas. Didn't get pulled over, but plenty of other people were having a very bad day as we drove by.

I'm sure I flew by on my way into Minnesota. Came back through SD mostly because we'd dropped down to Iowa the day before. I'll be back out that way this summer, at least that's the plan.

Medical stuff finally entered the treatment phases. The treatments have minimal side-effects compared to some other options that were out there, so hopefully these will work.

My father had a stroke on Saturday. He is doing better every day, but he still has issues with moving his right arm. He can squeeze his right hand, so that's a good sign! He works with a physical therapist, speech therapist, and an occupational therapist daily. My sister takes care of him, and I have offered to travel there to help. Standby is the worst. I'm sorry. I had meant my comment as light-hearted banter. Our school theater teacher just returned from a week in Florida to take care of her parents, her father is in a recovery center now, thankfully.

I have a monster pile of mail to get through from being away.
